Exclamation

water too high or toilet seat too low?

Hi.

I have a problem with my toilet which I'm going to do my best to describe without getting graphic.

I come in contact with the cold water every time I sit down. Sometimes I also come in contact with the front rim the toilet. Either way, this feels very filthy and disgusting and I'm sure it's not safe.

So my question is, how do I remedy this problem without using embarrassing equipment like a 2nd, higher toilet-seat with bars/rails and such stuff?

I've considered an automatic toilet cleaning system, like Kaboom or NeverScrub but this wouldn't prevent me from coming in contact with the front of the toilet, where the automatic toilet cleaning system wouldn't be able to reach.

I'm a big person (366 lbs) so this is also an issue.

Thanks for reading!

No way should the water be sitting in the toilet that high unless the drain is plugged up.
Small round toilet? If so switch it out for an oblong.

Replace the toilet. Go with something like a CADET commercial toilet. They're oblong so you fit better and they're also taller than the residential toilets (I think 17 inches vs 15... or something like that)

Look for the letters ADA on the box.

I think that I would switch it to a commercial toilet like in the handicapped stalls, sometimes called "comfort height".

And you are justified in feeling "germed" by contacting anything but the seat while using this thing.
