Water softner draining
 

Hello, I was wondering if it is ok to run the water softners drain tubing and overflow tubing to a sump crock? It is for ground water and eventually goes to a retention pond.

Ayuh,... Sure,.. Why Not,..??

The directions say to a stand pipe, slop sink, or floor drain. These are all on the sanitary waste lateral. I don't know if it is legal and could if the brine would harm the retention pond. I know it's not much, but if everyone in the neighborhood did it, i imagine it would cause a problem.
