Water Softener "Rotten Egg" Smell

I just installed a culligan water softener and now I have a rotten egg smell after I'm done showering. Can someone tell me whats the best way to clean it. Should I use Bleach on the salt or something else. TIA

Is the egg smell only in the hot water? If so it is probably a problem with the anode in your hot water heater. Changing the anode rod will typically resolve the problem but there are also other approaches.

Do you have well water? I've heard that sometimes high levels of iron can leave a smell like that.

Run the cold water only in the shower to see if you get the smell. If you don't then run the hot water only in the shower to confirm the hot water is the source.

If the hot water is the source see my first post.
