Water softener hook up piping?

Can I use the flexible corrigiated copper water heater lines to hook up my softener, or should I use hard copper with solder connections and solid non-flexible hook ups? thanks

I'm not a pro plumber, just an old DIYer, but I see no reason why you can't hook a softener up like that (flex).
