Water shutoff questions
Hello all, a few questions from a new homeowner:
I found the water shutoff to the house (outside) because I needed to fix a bathtub faucet. The repair went well, but: 1. I opened the faucet after the water was shutoff, and it seemed like the water, although trickling, kept on coming out. Also when I removed the faucet cartridge, there was a lot of water coming out of there too. Is that normal? I know that I turned off the valve as tight as I could. 2. When you turn the water back on, how far do you open the valve? Thanks for any help, RB Wallis |

Water shutoff questions
Sounds like the main shut off valve has some corrosion that is allowing some leakage. Not an uncommon problem. I'd open the valve all the way.
