Water Pressure issues after repairing main water line.

I repaired a leak in the main water line about 6 feet from the meter on Saturday. It is no longer leaking, but I have having issues with my water pressure. The pressure increases and decreases randomly. It will be very little pressure for a few seconds, then increase to normal flow for a few, then decrease again. Seems to be common throughout the house. This has been going on for a few days.

Any ideas? I had to turn the water on and off about 4 different times at the meter as I was trying to find the leak and check that it was stopped. When the water pressure goes down, removing the faucet's aerator does NOT seem to help. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Sounds like, when you isolated the main by closing a valve you dislodged a gasket or seal and it is now in the pipe, caught in a valve seat or meter.

When its all said and done there is usually more said than done

May be some trash in your strainer on your pressure reducing valve if you have one. Is the pressure fluctuation happening on both hot and cold lines? And for future reference, when you repair a leak in the yard or anywhere else that may lead to debris getting into pipe, always turn the tub valve on first before anything else until water runs clear.
