water pressure

I assume you have a well with a water tank?

If no water is being used, then the pressure should be the same as with a larger tank.

(For example you can inflate the small tire on a wheelbarrow to 30 psi as well as the large tire on a truck to 30 psi. They would both have the same pressure.)

However when you start using water, or are continuously using water, or the larger water tank is higher in the air, then things can change!

water pressure

The pressure of the water at the inlet to your house is controlled by the pump pressure, the flow rate, and the losses between the pump and the inlet. Your pressure tank is after the inlet, so the pressure at the pressure tank is slightly lower than the pressure at the inlet to the house. The maximum pressure after the inlet tank has nothing to do with the size of the inlet tank, however the rate the pressure drops when the pump shuts off is related to the size of the tank, the larger the tank, the slower the pressure drop.
