Water pipes making noise when shutting off

Jughead99 Newbie   Join Date: Jul 2012 Posts: 1	Water pipes making noise when shutting off Whenever I shut off my water at my sinks or showers, it makes a whining noise until the water is completely shut off. How can I fix this?

joecaption Member   Join Date: Nov 2011 Location: Hartfield VA Posts: 18,327	Water pipes making noise when shutting off A few things to check are the water pressure, it should not be any higher then 60 PSI, and if it's old style single hand faucets it can be a loose or worn washer.
