water line for new washing machine

We are putting in a washer/dryer where there has never been one. The installation is on the other side of the kitchen sink wall. Can we tie into the kitchen sink plumbing for the washer? Will there be any adverse effects; i.e. water pressure problems, etc?

You should have no issues with the hot and cold supplies. The drain may be the issue. Kitchen sink drain require only 1 and 1/2 inch, washing machines require 2 inch. Depends on the layout and how easily you can get below the proposed location. Pictures and more details would help.
