water level in toilet drops when another toilet is flushed


I just installed a new toilet in my hall bath the new toilet works fine but when it gets flushed the water level in the master bath toilet bowel drops

sounds like it could be a vent problem.

Never had that problem before should mention that toilets are back to back and only affects toilet in master bath

You could look at it this way......you are getting (2) flushes for the price of one......

You have a vent issue, the water leaving the new pot is causing suction on the Master pot, this a real good indication that the new pot is not tied to the vent correctly.

This was a simple toilet swap old one out new one in .the new one is an american standard 888545 clean power dual flush wonder of that makes a difference

It would make a difference if the old pot had a much smaller flush valve (size of the exit orfice) than the new one. Your new one is moving liquid faster than your old pot.

Old toilet is 14 yo standard construction grade toilet just never see this before thanks
