Water Heater Recirculator

I have had a working hot water recirculator for over 7 years. No problems at all.

All at once the water was no longer "instant" hot at the faucets.

Thinking it was the recirculator, I replaced it with a new one. (TACO) (installed correctly). I can hear it come on.

My problem is that the water is still is not circulating.
I looked at the return pipe and can't find any damage or crimped bends.

Is it possble that where it enters the gas water heater, it could be stopped up?

Any thoughts or suggestions on what to do now?

You sure the flow of the pump is towards the water heater?

Absolutely

Look for a valve turned off that shouldn't have been, or a bad check valve.
