Water Heater Noise

I noticed my Gas Hot Water Heater makes a "clang" just after it finishes heating up.
Anything to fix?

Try draining and flushing the tank out.

Water Heater Noise

Does it have an adjustable damper in the gas exhaust (vent) line? If so, it may be loose and is "slamming" shut when the burner shuts off.

Water Heater Noise

Often times there is a baffle in the flu that expand when wh is heating sometimes it will make a popping noise as its expanding, nothing to worry about. Could be minerals in bottom of heater.
