which water heater?

We just had a new gas water heater installed at our property in San Diego for 1500$ by a licensed plumber. It's a 6 yr warranty American water heater.
We need to update 4 more water heaters. Which brands to choose? Kenmore from Sears ok? 6 yr warranty or 12 yr warranty? I feel like I was overcharged for an installation of 6 yr warranty water heaters, because the water heater itself should not cost any more than 350$. Am I tight? Or does it depend on the brand?

A 6yr water heater costs 350$, 12 yr water heater is 600$. Which one to go with? PLease, keep in mind this is a rental.
thank you!

If I was paying 600 for an electric HW heater I would go with the Marathon Brand. Lifetime warranty.Google it. It is nice.

Its very hard to find a 6 year water heater that wont last atleast 10 years unless your water is totally trash going into it,if you drain about 5 gallons out of the bottem every month chances are youll get 15 plus years out of the tank itself without it rotting out
"facts" have no relevance to this discusion
