Water hammer install

It depends on the arrestor. Sioux Chief's "hydra-rester" and "mini-restor" can be installed at any angle, since the gas chamber is sealed by a piston.

The old method of arresting hammer, by sweating in a 12" piece of copper pipe with air in it must be installed vertically, capped off at the top.
