water going to washer won't turn off


how do i get the hot and cold water hook ups to turn off ? i was trying to hook up my washer, i just moved in. and the water was dripping on the cold hook up so i made sure it was off, but when i tried to take the hose off to hook it to washer, water went everywhere. please help

ball valves, plug valves,, gate valves ??

water going to washer won't turn off


Turn the main valve off. Once you have removed the lines you will undoubtedly will have to fix the isolation valves.

the main valves at the wall right? if so thats what would turn off

Post a pic of the valves you are trying to turn off. You may need to use a pare of channel locks on them
