water in floor drain, how do I clear it?

I pulled the cover on this floor drain today to see if there was water in there,

There is, and there has been for a while it seems. How do I clear it? I'd like to run my dehumidifier drain line into this. Is that an option?

It may have a trap under it to keep the sewer gas out so there should be standing water in it.
Just pore some water in it and see if it drains.

There is a trap on the floor drain line to prevent sewer gas from entering the home. There is no reason you cant put a dehumidifier drain to it. As suggested, pour a bucket of water into it to make sure the drain is clear.
