water droplets on cold water pipes in basement

how do I eliminate the sroplets that have just appeared on only the cold water pipes leading from the main water pipe to the water heater in the basement? What caused these droplets on the outside of the cold water pipes?

Moisture in the air and really cold pipes... Go to the box store and get the size of black foam to put on your cold water pipes. They come in 1/2 ,3/4 and 1" some of them you have to cut too open and some come already open just peal the tape cover off and they seal closed.

Also---run a dehumidifier in the basement----that excess moisture can cause trouble with the flooring in the rooms above the basement----

Is it a little or is it pouring off the pipes?
