Water dripping in the shower???
Hello guys,
My shower faucet is leaking water. The water is leaking from the bathtub faucet, not the shower head. I got new O-rings and a new cartridge. I shut off the water to change the cartridge and O-Rings. After replacing them i turned the water back on, still had the damn leak, so i turned off the water to the tub again, opened up the valve to drain the water, the leak got worst, with the water off? Do you guys think the diverter valve is shot? The shower faucets are Sterling. Thanks, Sellncars |

Water dripping in the shower???
Hey Ron,
The shower unit is a Sterling, which i guess is now owned by Koehler. This unit is 6 years old. What is the Best faucet company to buy from anymore? I've been told that Delta is a good comapny to buy from. I've also been told that anything sold at Home Depot and Lowes are not the top end of these companies, although their prices are. Thanks, Sellncars |

Water dripping in the shower???
Not too sure about Sterling if only 6 years old. Is it not a compression style with stems, seats and washers? You were talking about cartridges and "O" rings. If it had a cartridge, did it have rubber seats and springs underneath it? Stems thread in and are brass, cartridges push in and are usually plastic and have a retainer or bonnet.

Water dripping in the shower???
I know this thread is old but it does not have a solution... I found it on google search and it is EXACTLY what I'm experiencing with my Sterling setup.
Sellncars, what ended up being the fix for you? Thanks! |
