Water and Drain Line Location
Hey All,

Just a quick question regarding new sink drain and water services.

I am installing 2 - sinks where there was none and need to know if there is a typical rough height for the drain and water lines from the floor. Also I wanted to know if there is "typical" spacing for these items from each other. I am thinking that this is somewhat of a "typical" dimension.

I installed a similar setup in the second floor bath and found that I had to add an extension to the drain line and the shutoffs seemed cramped.

Any help would be appreciated.

Drain, about 17 inches from floor with a 4 in. offset from center line depending on the location of the trap. Supply lines 6-8 in. from center line roughly 2-3 in. above drain keeping in mind ease of service in the future.
