is water conservation inside the shower head or the shower hose?
i am sick of weak power shower, i enjoy the thin needle jet of water that is super powerful. however Australian government try to save water and ALL shower head sold in Australia are running at about 7-9L/min.
i have dismental a few shower hose (not shower head) and found that it's metal outside housing with rubber hose inside with either plastic or metal ends where u fit a rubber washer and screw it on, all of them have about 14mm dia on the outside, BUT the inside rubber house are different, some thicker some tinner. i found one that is only 5mm dia (talking about the internal dia of the rubber hose), and some are thicker. this one shower head i bought from shop, internal dia of the rubber hose is 5mm and on each end fitted with a 4mm dia plastic fitting and the rubber wash only has 4mm hole there. im just wondering, if there is ANY kind of water restriction divice inside the shower head itself? or is it possible that i buy a 8mm internal dia shower hose from overseas which can incrase my water flow? like this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2M-Length...item25691f3be1 |

There are often two restrictions----a tiny back flow valve where the hose attaches to the shower arm and another washer/filter/reducer at the wand(head)---Both will reduce the flow.
