I can use hard line from valve to spout but no way in the world I can use hard line from PEX to valve.....unless I replace the entire length of PEX tubing.....that is not feasible....there isn't enough slack to move PEX and lack of space.....it does looks like I have room in there but there isn't......like I mention before...it is hacked job....have you seen the size of the hole....YIKES.....

That looks like Grey poly pipe not Pex. But start with the spout and you will see that it works better.
