Water between Rebath liner and old tub

There is water between our rebath liner and our tub. How do we remove the water. Could there be a crack in the liner or just bad caulking. Right now we have the old gaulk removed and have plastic covering that area. Our liner is at least 10 years old. We're debating getting BathFitters this time or to make the repairs ourselves if possible. The company that installed it is now out of business. What do you think?

There's no way to get the water out without removing the whole liner.
Not sure how anyone here can tell you what's wrong with it.
Leaks a round the drain, around the rim because of lack of maintaince on the caulking, a crack. Could be anyone of these things.
