Washing machine hot pipe leaking

Hi All, I am having a crazy time getting this new washer / dryer to work. After fixing the electrical issue with my dryer I now have the hot water pipe leaking. I hope the attached picture will help see my issue and someone may be able to help me fix it.

Thanks,

And what happens when you tighten up that stem nut after the waters turned on?
I'd guess there's some mineral build up on the shaft of the stem.
To fit it you would shut off the water at the main relieve the pressure in the line, remove the handle, remove the packing nut and clean up the shaft.
Still not working right, just replace the valve.

Those weren't too common in older construction.
