Washing Machine drain

Yes, as it is only gray water.
Make sure the drain pipe inlet is as high as the top of the wash machine or the washer will never fill with water.

Washing Machine drain

Titanoman, I believe you are incorrect on this one. In my town, where we are on septic, it is illegal to drain your washing machine or laundry sink, or any other graywater or blackwater source, onto the ground or into the groundwater. We don't know whether the OPS is on septic or town sewer, or has a private or public water supply. And we certainly do not know what the local regulations are. In this case, the only responsible way to approach this question is to ask your local board of health, or plumbing department, if it is permissible to drain laundry wastewater onto the surface or into groundwater.

Washing Machine drain

The detergent and lint laden water shortens the life of the sump pump.
