Hi
I have a question regarding my washer drain. Recently bought a new house. The washer is upstairs were they converted an unfinished room into the washer/dryer room. It really needs to be finished to save on heating and cooling...but that a posting for another time. The washer and dryer are located on one side and the water pipes and washer drain are located on the other. I currently have tubing running along the roof joists for the water intake, and the water drain tubing runs along the floor, and then discharges into a large pvc pipe.
A couple questions, should the water drain be on the floor or should i set it up to run along the ceiling?
The end of the drain (going into pvc pipe) has a u-shape on it, does it also need a lint filter?
When they dropped off the new washer the tubing didnt reach so i need to buy some more....i take it it would be better to buy one large piece and replace the entire thing as opposed to adding a 5 foot section to make the connection?
