I'm replumbing a circa 1970s house and I was going to replace the existing, deteriorating, copper with a home run using PEX and the Manabloc. The Manabloc is not sold in Canada without a huge price premium (approximately 2x-3x the US price if I can find a supplier) and a wait of about a year, if I'm lucky.
The result is that I have to import it from the U.S. I will do so but I have to be sure what I'm buying is going to work properly for my purposes. I'm looking at an 8/10, 3/4" crimp supply, 1/2" compression distribution into PEX with no breaks to the destination fixture.
My distribution column is a 12'x8' space on two floors so all my lines are short. I'm figuring 130 feet of cold PEX.
Anyone got experience with this that they can pass along please.
