Venturys

We bought our house in Nov of last year and in spring had trouble with the well. Water was dirty and full of sediment. The well is a pounded well, and wasn't raised. So we raised the well and found one big mess. The previous owner had built a cement box over the top of the well and siliconed a patio stone over it. So our well filled with surface water for a long period of time and as such put many feet of dirt down the well. I shortened the well pipe as a short term measure but now I'm running out of water if I ra large amount of water in a short time. I have to wait 15 minutes to have a shower after filling the washer. There is still lots of water filling the well but because the pipes too short now it can't reach it. Im afraid to lengthen the pipe again and get dirt. So it was told to me to get it drilled out but the drillers won't touch a pounded well. So I'm wondering if a ventury will work? any thoughts anyone. Originally the well was 75 feet deep now its now 50 feet because of sediment.the pipe is 20 feet long
thanks

Ayuh,... No idea what you're talkin' about,+ Google is No help either....

My 1st thought would be to get an oversized pump, with an oversized draw tube, set to the bottom of the well,+ Start Pumping...
Suck all the crap out, then reset your well pump to 65/70' or so...

Its kind of like what you have described actually. Sorry I misspelled the word. The idea is to hook up a large compressor that blows water down one pipe while allowing the dirt and corruption up and out another. The well diggers said the venturi will not work but wanted to dig me a new well!! I am wondering if anyone has ever tried this?
thanks for responding Bondo, I appreciate it!
