Venting my home

Building a new three story house. Four inch pipe coming up through the floor in basement, after i tie in all my fixtures to this four inch pipe can I reduce it to two inch and carry it out through the roof as a vet stack?
Thanks

Codes differ in different regions. I need the combined cross sectional area of all my vents to equal the cross sectional area of my building drain. So if your taking a 4" drain out of the house you need the equivalent of 4" through the roof. This may be achieved with multiple vent pipes. Such as 4- 2" vents.
Also, vents are sized by the fixtures they serve. I doubt you could put a 3 story house on a 2" vent.

Depends on code where you live. I could not do it but maybe you can.

I would not reduce vent .....as eplumber said it size is based on fixture units that it supplies and a 2" vent would only supply as a releif vent for one water closet...you know commode.....most codes don't allow reducing stack must go same size through roof...Ben
