venting kitchen sink drain

My house is 120 years old and is not properly vented for the kitchen sink drain. When the washing machine drains, it cause the kitchen sink to girgle. I installed one of the interior vents with the rubber bladder and it worked find for about a year. Then it stopped working so I replace it but it still doesn't work. The bladder gets wet and I'm sure that's why it won't work but the vent is about a foot above the drain pipe and I even put an elbow in the pipe so there isn't a direct shot to the vent and I can't understand why it keeps getting wet. It's driving my wife nuts. Any suggestions?

venting kitchen sink drain

Are you saying you installed an AAV & it doesn't work ?? Short of tearing out the interior wall & adding a vent.. You can go to an outside wall & run above the roof..
