I have a sewer (septic tank) gas problem. When a toilet is set you can see the water inside the bowl moving; it is like a blower motor inside the lines. Take up the toilet and the pressure coming out of the pipes is so much you can't stop it. Usually you can stuff a rag in the flange but not this one. The home I bought is in SW Florida Everglades where it is hot and humid. Why is that pressure so strong in those pipes? I had the septic tank serviced and can smell that perfume those guys put in it. Any ideas? I can set a toilet and 4, 5 6 days later the wax ring is melting from all that warm humid air running through the pipes. I had the pipes cameraed and wasd told the pipes are fine. The roof vents are right beside the fart fan vents, and the lead around those vents is damaged but that PRESSURE is stronger than any open sewer line you have ever seen.

Eachbathroom is vented, laundry is REvented, baths and showers arre REvented, kitchen vented. The pressure inside the pipes is too high, like a blower motor inside there.

Sounds like a lot of pressure. Did any one tie your water heater or furnace venting into your plumbing?

Could be; I can plug off the 4 inch line at the septic tank and come back later to take out the test ball and water behind the test ball or with no water running at all, I can see water coming into the clean-out before the septic tank. I tried Studor vents up top on the vent stacks but that makes it unbearable inside. I can put a test ball in the clean out right next to the septic tank and still get sewer gas at the toilet. Just too much pressure for a wax ring to hold up. I tried using plumber's putty under the flange next to the concrete but it melts too. Too much pressure.

I suggest you track down every mech. vent pipe in the house- exhaust fans, dryer, w.htr. furnace, etc. Plumbing systems should have little to none back pressure.

Water heater is electric, furnace is a package heat pump/ac. Neither is vented that I know of. You can go to the job site and put a rag into a flange or wall stub but not mine; like I said it is like a small blower motor pushing air through there. The camera didn't show any holes/roots in the lines.

I had a condensate drain from cooling equipment blow paper towels off a sink basket strainer before. Pressure was so bad it whistled like a car window. Added a vent to the condensate line and all was good.
