If you donít have any prior plumbing drainage experience reading the codes is just reading the codes, the interpretation is where you get your answers.

Here is your answer


Each plumbing fixture trap, except as otherwise provided in this code, shall be protected against siphonage and back-pressure, and air circulation shall be ensured throughout all parts of the drainage system by means of vent pipes installed in accordance with the requirements by this code
