Vanity P-Trap weird configure

SHould the vanity drain look more like the setup for the laundry?
I think I would just have to lengthen the tailpiece and attach a 45 to the stub out to be able to match the wall bend to the p-trap.

They are both fine.

What is the problem with either?

I can't tell if its the camera angle, but it looks like you have enough room to shorten up the drain extension to get the horizontal piece at a better angle.

Nothing particular. Just wondering if a home inspector might say the vanity one is not correct.

you mean on the vanity the horizontal piece between the two 90's?? It does have pitch toward the p-trap. Might of been angle of camera.

The vanity one will work bet it is an example of PP plumbing. PP Piss poor

Vanity setup is missing a compression nut.

Technically you have a running trap on the vanity.... tailpiece should remain vertical, at least last I checked, which means 45 degrees from the vertical or less.

I did notice that. Also there is a slip joint nut not on the piece that goes into the trap adaptor. How can two slip joint nuts be missing but no leaks?
