I want to replace an original 30 year old toilet with a new one. My original rough-in seems to be 14 inches. At least as measured from the bolt to the drywall. Most new ones seem to be 12 inches. I presume that is due to the smaller water tank.
Will it look odd with the two inch difference or should I special order one with the 14 inch clearance?
Am I measuring this correctly?
This is just a little out of what I am used to doing, plumbing-wise. No problem with taking one out to replace the wax ring, etc.
Thanks to all in advance.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. If you wouldn't put your name on it, it ain't done right!
