Question

Unknown cartridge

Have been to a couple plumbing stores, including the bigger one specializing in plumbing parts only, and no one has been able to find who makes this cartridge.

Does anyone recognize it or point me to some online store that make be able to assist.

Have you tried a plumbing supply house?

I assume you don't have a brand name---often the lesser known brands are 'disposable' because no parts are available----American Standard is one of those--no parts except mail order from the maker.

Call this guy. (Bill the Fauceteer in Spokane, WA). I don't know anyone that knows more about faucets and cartridges. I don't have his email, but I'm sure you could email him a pic and he'll know what it is right away. He may then be able to order you the part or point you in the right direction.

That's a handy number----

We had an old plumbing supply house near here that had every antique part I ever needed---the old man finally retired and the son closed up the shop---terrible loss--that old shop was a treasure.

I went to a couple big box stores (Home Depot, Lowes) and they did not recognize it and suggested that I try Plumbateria which specialises in plumbing. (they did not have or recognize it either). Even the taps have no marking's on it to give me hint who makes it.
So if I can't find one soon I am looking at a bathroom reno as the plumbing is behind a tiled wall. (ouch $$)

I am following up with Bill the Fauceteer who sounded really helpful on the phone. (just send him a picture and have my fingers crossed)

See if it doesn't say "Glacier Bay" somewhere on that faucet.
