Undergound plumbing

Looking to run water to my sister in laws shed. Heard something about a Flex Tubing ot flex piping that I can run out to a spigot at the shed. Does any one know:
1) What this stuff is called? (Something like PEX)
2) whats the best way to connect it to copper?

I know it will have to be blown out in the winter months.

Thanks!

Dave

I would use the black plastic water pipe available an any home improvement place. Assuming you have a place to connect to, you should be able to locate a brass sweat fitting with barbs on the plastic end. If you have a threaded connection there should be either male or female with barb. (I couldn't find the fittings I'd use, these pictures just help show the style of threaded fitting.)

I like the red brass fittings, with 2 stainless clamps per connection. To aid in getting the pipe over the fitting, heat the pipe gently, and it'll slip right on. Too much heat will trash the pipe.
