Under sink supply plumbing
We are redoing our kitchen and adding a dishwasher and garbage disposal that we never had before. Our supply lines under the kitchen sink are 1/2" PEX. We also have a water filter on the cold supply and an ice cube maker line. And now need a hot water supply for the dishwasher.
Looking for advice on what fittings or valves or Tees to use to put this puzzle together. Right now there is a shut off valve on each line with a 1/2" threaded connector on it, not the usually 3/8" compression threaded connector that the braided lines attach to. I'm not opposed to redoing all the valves/fittings to make it right or look better.
Thanks for any help with what to use for this puzzle!
Best if you can post a picute of what you have now.
May need a valve like this.
Here is a picture of what I have now. The white Tee before the shut off is for the ice maker. The two shut offs have 1/2" threads I believe. The hot line is on the left and currently goes right to faucet hot water. The cold is on the right and the blue tube is what goes to the water filter and then to the faucet. I need to add in the dishwasher supply to the hot water from what I have read. Just looking for a way to tidy everything up and make it look neat and be right.
I saw those valves you linked to at menards today. I also found some Tees that screw onto a valve with 3/8" compression threads. I bought two of them but then realized my valves have 1/2" threads so those won't work. Pretty sure I'll have to redo pretty much everything, which I'm fine with but just want to do it the best/easiest/right way.
