Unclog water pipe

I am trying to find out how to unclog my hot water line feeding my upstairs shower. I had not used the shower in nearly 2 years then went to use it as my second shower is out of commission due to Sheetrock work being done. (No pipes affected) When water pressure wasn't what it used to be and the water temp was only reaching lukewarm I decided to test the individual pipes. I shut the cold water and found the hot water just trickling out of the tub faucet. Hot water coming from the sink in the same bathroom came out scalding hot. To me this means that the clog is somewhere between the split to bathroom faucet/tub and the tub itself. I'm sure of this because closing that cold water at that shut off also cut the cold water to the faucet.
Now my question obviously is, how can I unclog this pipe. I have copper piping. And with the exception of pipe directly behind the tub faucet the rest of the line is behind walls... anyone have any idea?

Copper is not particularly prone to "clogging". I would more suspect problems at one of your valves, particularly if your water has a high sediment or mineral content. As well, a washer or seal may not be unseating because it has been in the same position for a while.

I had a similar issue in my kitchen....come to find out, the faucet hoses had little micro screens on them. Once I cleaned them, worked great.

If this is a single handle temp control valve take it apart. Likely there is calcium build up and hot side of the valve is stuck and not opening.

Thank you for replies. I'll try to check seals and the single lever handle today after work.
