Default Unable to Remove Sink Clips

Hi. I am trying to get an old sink out in order to get some new countertops via some installers and install a new sink via a plumber.

I am not the handiest person around, but the counter top installers told me that I have to remove the old sink before they can install the new counter tops.

However, I am unable to remove the old sink because some of the clips are blocked by a piece of wood which I think is being used to support sink.

What should I do? Can I tell the counter top guys just to cut out the old sink out, or is there another solution to my problem?

Since you think the wood may be holding up the sink, you could use temporary bracing for the sink and remove the wood. You could also use a chisel and chip out some of the wood in the area of the clips. Since you are removing the sink anyways, it won't hurt if you carve on the boards.
