should i have a booster pump?thinking of low volt (24v)control ckt. .. just one psi switch an tank... just call on booster whenever main pump runs...its about 200foot run and maybe 15foot rise from main house
Suggest putting another pressure tank in your house.
If you install a booster pump after the original pressure tank then you will need another pressure tank after the booster pump anyway.
Note that it is possible to overdraw the well in terms of gallons per minute. Another pressure tank with or without a booster pump will allow more water to be stored ready for use before the pump kicks on, and can let a well with a lower gallons per minute rating refill the system at a slower rate with fewer experiences of low pressure.
The good conscientious technician or serviceperson will carry extra oils and lubricants in case the new pump did not come with oil or the oil was accidentally spilled, so the service call can be completed without an extra visit.
