Tub spout and showerhead problem

I wish I'd looked at this site prior to installing my bathtub. After getting advise from a "genius" at the local DIY store, I used pex on the hot, cold, shower and tub spout. I have a sharkbite with a copper pipe to attach the spout itself and was happy to have no leaks. All walls are complete including the tub surround and I discover "shower rise". Is there any way to fix this without tearing the new wall and surround all to pieces? thanks

Tub spout and showerhead problem

the problem is because you used pex for the tub spout. This is a common problem, and you'll have to open something up to change the tub spout to some other material.
