Tub/Shower diverter

Hello, the faucet in my tub will not divert water to the shower head. What is needed to fix this. Someone mentioned that I needed a cartridge of some sort. Will this suffice and are they standard? Or will I need a whole new faucet?

What is the brand of the valve, is it a single control or more then one handle?
