Default Tub leaking from drain

Hello,

I found a leak in my basement today. Turns out it is leaking from a pipe that is connected to my tub drain. Not sure if it is called a waste elbow or not. My question is, can I just replace this piece or do I have to purchase a new drain assembly?

Thanks

A "shoe" has a rubber seal up under the tub. You might just be able to replace that and/or the metal piece with it. You shouldn't have to replace the whole thing.
Good Luck!
