Tub leaking

2nd floor bath room tub leaking. Previously accessed the drain through ceiling floor below. Removed old drain and put new plaumbers putty around drain and reseated to fiberglass tub. Started leaking again. Anyway to fix this completely without having to constantly replace plumbers putty?

Doesn't do any good to have tub you can't use if problem recurs. Looking for suggestions

Tub leaking

Odd problem. I would be looking for a crack in the drain piece or the tub.

Fiberglass and putty don't work well together.

I would use silicon on the shoe and a rubber gasket on the heel.

Tub leaking

We just had a leak like this on a project.
Turned out the trap had a hairline crack that was almost impossible to see. When someone would stand in the shower it would flex just enough to open the crack and water would pour out.
