trying to connect washer to 12/16 (3/4) faucet

After a decade of dealing with the laundromat, I just purchased a portable washer for my apartment. It turns out that my kitchen sink has an oddly sized faucet -- 12/16 -- so I have been having trouble finding the appropriate adapter to connect the washer. The washer comes with an adapter that is 15/16, so ideally I would find something that is female sized 15/16 and male sized 12/16 that would make it possible to attach the adapter I already have to the sink.

I have tried a local hardware store and Home Depot so far with no luck. The faucet itself is square shaped (and the 12/16 aerator screws into it), which makes things more tricky because I can't slip a hose and clamp over it (not that this would have occurred to me until it was suggested by the nice people helping me at the store).

The final problem is that I don't have the vocabulary to properly search for the part I need (if it exists) so I could order it online. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Sophie

I did a quick google look for you-

http://www.sears.com/search=portable...ucet%20adapter

Have contacted the store you puchased it and asked them for help?
They may have an inside track for these.

you could also try to call one of the online stores

Thanks for your response! The problem is really the odd size of my faucet, not the kind of adapter I need. The washer is a Haier machine and it included an adapter that fits a standard kitchen faucet... but mine is 3/4-in x 27 (which apparently isn't even an American faucet).

The links you posted led me to search for a sink adapter with a 3/4-in x 27 thread... I'm guessing that this one might work if I need one end to be 3/4-in and the other 15/16-in?
