Default Trouble removing old kitchen faucet

Hello all,

So I've been on my back for hours trying to remove a kitchen faucet. What's so hard? Well, it's almost the final step that has me stymied. I shut off the water, removed the tubes, and unscrewed the bolts under the faucet. What's tough is the bolt under the faucet.

Maybe if I describe it someone can be of help. It is a long bolt connected to a half horseshoe just under the sink. I've tried everything and it won't seem to turn. Does this make any sense? I lack the vocabulary to describe the problem better than that.

If this is a dumb question, I apologize. Believe me, I feel dumb enough for not being able to do this myself.

But thanks in advance!

Does it look like one of the parts at:

If so, try getting a socket on the nut.
Good luck.
