Trench Drain

I just installed a trench drain in my backyard which is connected to a solid 4 inch PVC pipe which I am running underground to the front of my house so the water will get out to the street. Should I install a screen at the end of the 4 inch pipe where it is sticking out of the ground? The only reason I ask is if I don't won't critters possibly live in the trench drain system in the summer time? Any help would be much appreciated.

Trench Drain

If you're worried about animals getting in there then install an swing or spring check valve. It allows flow in only one direction, and closes if there's no flow.

I can' seem to find a swing or spring check valve when I look on google. I'm looking for one that would attach to a 4 inch PVC pipe. Anyone else have any ideas or can someone provide a link to one that they think would work?

Really? I did within the first few suggestions. Anyways go down to your local plumbing supply house, not big box, and they'll have what you need.
