Trap Location
I'm installing a new kitchen sink. It is a deep basin, and coupled with my disposal, I'm not sure if I will have room to install a trap in the sink base cabinet and make the tie in to the existing waste line. The existing waste line is stubbed up through the floor, not out of the wall. It's 2". IF I have an issue installing the trap in the cabinet, are there any issues with me installing the trap below the floor? The line runs straight down into the basement into the Laundry Room and is accessible, and I have more room to do my tie in there. I would run my 1-1/2" line waste line through the floor, install the trap, and then transition from 1-1/2" to 2" and go from there. Any concerns?
Thanks. |
