We installed a TOTO Dual-FLush toilet about a year ago. A couple of months ago, we're getting this very strange "surge" of water when it refills the tank. It seems like it has something to do with the "siphon" component in the tank. By "surge", what I mean is that the water doesn't simply flow into the tank non-stop; but rather it seems to get into the tank in like 5-6 surges of water coming in until it tops off and stops.
Anyone have this issue? know of what the problem is?
Take the lid off of the toilet tank and watch the water refill. There may be some parts bobbing up and down instead of rising gradually and that can cause the tank refilling to surge.
The good conscientious technician or serviceperson will carry extra oils and lubricants in case the new pump did not come with oil or the oil was accidentally spilled, so the service call can be completed without an extra visit.
