Actually, I had replaced the guts and everything is working fine when I posted the question about replacing the valve. I was looking more for what I should do the 'next time' I tear into a project like this (the other toilet in the house) as I would have liked to replace the valve. Which involves shutting down water to the house, etc., etc. Guess I'm looking at it as 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' theory (although I like to have the info for when it does... thanks again, everyone!)
