Toilet sounds like a semi-truck

When I flush my toilet and its almost full - the last few seconds the water pipes shake so much it sounds like a semi-truck driving by the house. The first 3/4 of the tank are fine but the last bit is rough. Any ideas? I have replaced the flapper portion as it was leaking by.

Not sure what to do and afraid its going to shake the side of the house off.

Can you tell which pipes are shaking? Is it the pipe coming out of the wall, down in the basement, or inside the toilet?

The short answer is yes. You can see it in the pipe in the toilet but the sound is coming from the basement I think.

In an effort to remedy the noise I have: 1 - replaced the center piece with what used to be a flapper on it, 2 - checked the water lines to make sure that there werent any that were partially cloed. Beyhond that I am at a loss.

replace the fill valve. get a fluidmaster 400a. problem solved

. you can sometimes test this by shutting off the angle stop halfway when its making the noise.

Replace the fill valve - the one that the water enters the toilet through. I replaced the other one - the one that the water leaves the toilet through but not the other one.
